Profile
As a strategic consultant with a diverse background spanning healthcare practice, academia, and national funding bodies, I am committed to building capacity, driving organisational change and maximising the real-world impact of health and social care research.
Having spent over a decade in clinical practice as a physiotherapist, I transitioned into academia to complete my PhD in Knowledge Mobilisation. My research interests include the role that patients and the public play in Knowledge Mobilisation and Implementation. I am particularly interested in co-approaches and communities of practice, along with understanding how knowledge is created, transformed, and used in decision-making.
Strategic consultancy
Operating in partnership with Dr Jenni Lynch, our freelance consultancy provides strategic expertise to healthcare organisations and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to bridge the gap between research, policy, and clinical practice.
Evidence implementation
My work focuses on the translation of evidence into everyday practice and helping institutions optimise their pathways to impact. Drawing upon my multi-sector experience, I help clients navigate complex systems and drive cultural shifts regarding how evidence is valued, used, evaluated and embedded.
Capacity building
A core focus of my work is designing and delivering bespoke training initiatives to empower practitioners, researchers, organisations, national funders and policy makers to overcome evidence challenges. I specialise in facilitating national and international workshops to bring together diverse forms of knowledge from the public, government agencies, national funders, local health systems and academic bodies.
