Methods repository

Bridging disciplinary silos: the use of research evidence methods repository

The Use of Research Evidence Methods Repository is an open resource to share learning and improve the use of evidence in policy and practice.

A shared, open access space

The Methods Repository provides an opportunity for researchers, regardless of academic discipline or area of study, to publish their research protocols for others to view and learn from.

The sharing of methods such as survey instruments or interview protocols allows researchers to benefit from insights and best practice in other areas.

Growing a sustainable and diverse repository

As a funder, researcher or publisher, you can search by keyword to find work you are interested in, and filtering options help narrow down search results to only the most relevant work. The repository also provides quick access to journals, research networks and literature.

As a researcher, there is a simple process to upload your work. Journals increasingly expect that contributing authors will share their materials in public repositories, and we hope researchers will use the repository routinely across the research cycle.

Collaborate with us

We believe that collaborating with partners across different disciplines and geographies will drive up quality, methodological rigour and usefulness of research.

Funders: tell us about research you’re funding that should be in the repository

Publishers: get in touch if you’re interested in embedding use of the repository into your publishing guidelines

The invitation to collaborate extends to all in the community – if you want to share your thoughts, please reach out!
