The UK Knowledge Mobilisation Forum is a space for collaborative learning and reflection amongst those engaged in the art and science of sharing knowledge and ensuring that it can be used. It will run from 28th April to 2nd May 2025 as a virtual programme, with 5 events over 5 lunchtimes.
The Forum is now inviting contributions from anyone with a story, method, resource or insight to share about knowledge mobilisation. If you have got something to share, they would love to hear from you! To contribute, please read the details below, and complete the online submission form by Friday 21st February 2025. The UK Knowledge Mobilisation Forum aim to notify all contributors the week of 17th March 2025.
Contributions should cover one of the areas listed below. Please indicate which area your contribution fits into on the submission form.
● Knowledge mobilisation practice - examples and case studies of knowledge sharing practices and activities. The emphasis here is on sharing practices, experiences (good and bad!) and learning about the practice of knowledge mobilisation.
● Knowledge mobilisation research & evaluation - examples of research into knowledge mobilisation and the evaluation of knowledge sharing initiatives and approaches. The emphasis here is on sharing insights and results from the study of knowledge mobilisation.
● Knowledge mobilisation training & development - examples and case studies of knowledge mobilisation training and development activities. The emphasis here is on sharing experiences and practices of educating and training people (researchers, practitioners and the public) in the art and science of knowledge mobilisation. This could include activities to support informal learning and development amongst knowledge mobilisers.
In this year’s programme has opportunities for the following types of contributions. All the contribution types enable participants to learn, with each type providing different opportunities for developmental learning. Choose what works best for the learning that you are interested in. Feel free to contact the UK Knowledge Mobilisation Forum to discuss what style would work best for you.
Interactive Poster
The interactive poster session will take place during the Forum. The digital posters will be made available online from Monday 28 April, 2025 - Thursday 1 May, 2025. During this time, participants will be able to review the posters and leave comments, observations and questions. Interactive posters are a great way for learning the ropes by presenting interesting findings and experiences for discussion with other participants. The Forum would particularly value contributions on the topic of learning from failures.
Knowledge Fayre
A chance to share knowledge mobilisation experiences, case studies, lessons learned and more during repeated small, intimate 15 minute online group sessions. After 15 minutes delegates will be moved around to another session/group meaning that you get a whole new audience for your material! You will need to be prepared to run your 15 minute session up to 6 times. It may be tiring, but it is a great way to improve group interaction, enable lots of conversation and receive input in a short time frame.
