The Knowledge Mobilisation Research Associate will develop, lead and evaluate knowledge mobilisation activities within the Versus Arthritis Clinical Epidemiology Research Consortia. The consortia looks to improve the quality of life for people living with arthritis and other painful musculoskeletal conditions. The consortia bring together partners including researchers, clinicians and most importantly, people with lived experience of these conditions. Over five years, the VA consortia will focus on: Health inequalities, painful musculoskeletal conditions in childhood, the impact of the menopause on arthritis and musculoskeletal pain, the use of pain-relievers and the burden of blood test for young people with arthritis.
The post holder will develop and lead knowledge mobilisation activities across and within each theme. They will play a key role in advancing research, knowledge mobilisation and addressing evidence gaps across the consortia’s five priority themes. They will ensure that research is translated into practice and policy to improve care and outcomes for people with arthritis and painful musculoskeletal conditions. This is a specialist role with a focus on knowledge mobilisation, requiring expertise in generating insights from existing data, developing innovative dissemination methods, and working collaboratively with researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and public contributors.
