Prioritizing research for better decision-making

09 . 03 . 2026

The new WHO report on the Global Research Agenda on Knowledge Translation and Evidence‑Informed Policy‑Making summarizes the process, results, and lessons learned from two years of global consultation with 130+ experts.

The report includes:
🔹 The 19 research priority areas identified through the consultative process
🔹 Why these priorities matter for evidence generators, intermediaries, and users
🔹 The methodology, lessons learned, and practical next steps to translate priorities into action

If you work in evidence use, knowledge translation, evidence-informed policy-making, implementation research, policy design, or research funding – this is for you!

Transforming Evidence's Annette Boaz and Kathryn Oliver were among the large group of global stakeholders who gave their time to help develop the agenda. Next steps are to make sure it is used and also modified to support local and regional health systems.
